Larry Burrier

Larry BurrierHaving been brought up a “country boy,” Larry Burrier took naturally to serious hunting and fishing in rural Central Texas. He also showed great skill and no small amount of courage, not only as a bull rider on the rodeo circuit, but also in attaining his private pilot’s license.

Larry is very in demand as a master electrician, and has even served as an overseas electrical contractor for the government. Using his entertaining and winning personality, Larry also hosted a weekly “how-to” radio show.

And although his spirit for adventure was naturally engrained while growing up—his love of home and expertise in creating wonderful food have been constants throughout his life. Larry’s true mark of excellence is in carrying on the century’s old, Burrier family tradition of exceptional jerky making.

The original recipes were passed down the family from his great-great grandfather, William Cost Burrier–an early Texas Ranger and Trail Boss along the Chisholm Trail. Those folks learned secrets from Native Americans and knew the importance of always having food on hand.

Today, he and his wife, Cheryl, reside in Lockhart, Texas, where, while working as a Master Electrician, he continues to come up with creative new recipes using ancient cooking techniques. He is only too happy to share his secrets with you!
